Facials an Effective Method of Improving the Skin

Our skin is subject to the harsh elements in the environment. Every day our faces are exposed to fluctuating air temperatures, dust, harsh chemicals in the water, free radicals, make up, and many other irritants. The surface of our skin contains small pockets called pores. These pores permit perspiration, oxygen, and foreign matter to enter the skin. These irritants cause cells to accumulate and block debris from exiting the skin. This results in acne, dry skin, puffiness under the eyes, black heads, and blemishes. Damage to the skin can cause premature aging and wrinkles. Facials are treatments that involve a deep cleansing of the skin. The purpose of a facial treatment is to clean, rehydrate, nourish, and rejuvenate the skin. A facial also helps increase circulation and stimulate the skin.

Facials are a gentle and effective method of improving the skin, Regular facials every 8 to 10 weeks will rejuvenate and improve the skin’s texture thereby reducing skin irritations. If this is not possible, it is suggested that you have one facial at the beginning of Spring, and one before Winter. The price of a facial can vary, but they usually start at about $75.00. The price will be much higher if you are attending a resort or spa retreat,

A professional aesthetician will give a facial that cleanses the pores, cleans out dirt and debris, restores elasticity, rehydrates dry skin, moisturizes, and repairs oily skin. Facials are beneficial for all skin types, but those with sensitive skin should use more gentle moisturizers and facemasks to avoid irritating the skin.

The basic steps of a quality facial include:

Skin Assessment: A certified aesthetician with special training in skin care will assess your skin. Depending on your skin type, the aesthetician will determine what products to use. Some people have very sensitive skin so they will require products with gentle ingredients. The aesthetician will know what product to use. Skin type is determined by pore size, tone, texture, and oil production.

Skin Cleansing: If the skin is dry, the aesthetician will open your pores by delivering warm steam that is directed at your face, or apply a warm towel. The aesthetician will then use a product to deliver a deep cleansing formula to the skin. The cleansing process involves gently massaging the skin with the cleansing solution.

Extraction: The extraction process involves removing blackheads manually. This process can be a bit uncomfortable but it is well worth it.

Exfoliation: This process involves manually or chemically removing dead skin and debris. The skin is then rinsed thoroughly. Exfoliation helps unclog the pores.

Moisturizing: An aesthetician can use any number of skin moisturizers such as lotions, creams, and masks. Rich in vitamins and antioxidants, these products rehydrate, nourish, and rejuvenate the skin. Moisturizers can be delivered by massage or through a moisturizing product such as a mask.

Most people are not aware of the proper products they should be using on their skin. Using incorrect facial products will often result in further damage to the skin. A facial by a professional can help you learn about the proper skin care products you should be using on your skin. A professional aesthetician will help you design an easy home care program for your individual skin type.

A facial is a healthy and relaxing way to treat your skin. Facials are great for both men and women. They will help clear bad complexion and slow down the aging process. Upon completion of a facial, skin is healthier, cleaner, relaxed, and shinier. When you have healthy and shiny skin, you are more confident and happy.

Stop Living With Facial Sweating Problems

Ok, so we all know of or have met someone who has rather sweaty armpits, sweaty feet or sweaty hands but what about people who suffer from facial sweating? If you suffer from facial sweating then it’s a pretty fair guess to say that your face is one of the very first things if not the very first thing that people notice about you. This problem may make it quite difficult to make a good first impression on people. The anxiety some people surfer because of the facial sweating is part of a cruel cycle that repeats itself over and over again. A person will be worried about the possibility that they will start sweating at any given moment. This in turn makes the person anxious and this anxiousness then causes the person to sweat even more.

Facial sweating in excessive amounts has been considered to be a genetic medical condition but it is also acknowledged that there are other factors involved that may trigger or contribute to excessive facial sweating. Severe sweating is not the only symptom of this particular problem. People who suffer from facial sweating may also find that they also suffer from serious facial blushing.

One very common misconception about facial sweating is that it affects only those of us who are obese or overweight. Facial sweating can happen to anyone regardless of their age, weight, ethnicity, gender and social status. Some people find this condition to be so psychologically debilitating that they do whatever is necessary to avoid social events and anything else that requires them to be in the public eye. Quite often facial sweating is not just localised to the face. Many people who suffer facial sweating also find that their neck and scalps are also included in the sweating. Just form doing low exertion activities you may find your head in a deluge of perspiration.

So what steps can you take to curb this annoying condition? There are a few options around and two mainstream options are surgical and natural. When it comes to surgery it is important that you thoroughly research the surgery, its risks, possible complications and side effects. Keep this information in mind before making your decision. The other most commonly sought method in which to treat facial sweating is with natural style remedies. Antiperspirant facial solutions are available.

These topical facial solutions require you to apply it to your dry face and let it remain on your skin for a minimum of six hours. Some people say that because of the amount of time the solution needs to stay on your skin it is best to apply it at night when you are ready to go to bed but others argue that it’s better to have on your skin during your waking hours. Ultimately it comes down to personal preference. Once the solution has been on your face for at least six hours you can wash it off. The solution may make your skin feel a little uncomfortable whilst you have it on, if it does it is important that you resist the urge to scratch it as doing this will only make the discomfort worse.

If you suffer form facial sweating then chances are that you are desperate for some kind of relief. With the knowledge you now have from reading this article now is the time to stop your sweating and start living again.

ethinyl estradiol side effects – BEAUTIFUL SKIN: NECESSITY EVERY WOMEN

We all are aware that skin is an important organ of our beauty. It not only enhances our outer look, but also creates a feel of confidence within us which in turn helps any individual to reach their goal with a good result.

Skin grows in pace with our age and hence requires an extra care for it plays an important role in protecting our body from harmful ethinyl estradiol side effects of the environment. The human dermis is such that its soft and tender when born and gradually gains immunity as one grows. Therefore, it is very important to take care of the skin according to the age.

If we want to look younger we must take extra care of our skin otherwise it will get spoiled and we will look older than our age. One should try at her best to use only the natural products for the skin. They are not only Nature friendly and chemical free too. It only takes a small amount of daily care to keep skin young and healthy. Skin should be taken care according to the age and skin type. It’s like

Age of 20’s: At this age one should very much focus on skin to prevent the future damage of the skin. One should always make a habit to apply sunscreen on all the exposed parts of the body. Moisturizing skin should also be made the essential activity for skin care. Exfoliating the skin is also very important as it will help in getting rid of the dead skin. So, taking care of the skin at the age of 20’s is very important and may act as an essential factor to make us look young at an older age.

Age of 30’s: This is the age when skin starts losing collagen, an important skin protein. Drinking lots of water and eating proper balanced diet with lots of fibre content should be made important part of one’s life at this age. Age of 40’s and above: This is the time when one should be more careful about their skin because at this age it attains wrinkles due to which skin loses it’s healthiness. Non-Surgical Facial Rejuvenation

Concern about facial aging, wrinkles, loose skin, sagging cheeks, jowls, and “turkey neck”, and other signs of advancing age is very common among the 40 to 50 year olds in the United States, both men and women. A startling 12.4 million cosmetic plastic surgery operations were performed in this country last year and estimates are that nearly half of them were to correct facial aging. Most of the questions I receive at my website http://saveyourface.com/whatsnew/index.php and http://saveyourface.com/askdoc/index.php are from patients who want to stop the facial aging process.

As the baby boomers reach their 50’s everyone wants to look younger but no one wants to have surgery. Most people do not want to have surgery especially if it is not for serious medical reasons.

However revolutionary advances in technology have made it possible for many people to reverse facial aging changes using new non-surgical facial rejuvenation techniques without having to undergo surgery.

This past Wednesday September 28, 2005, I spoke on a panel entitled Non-surgical Facial Rejuvenation at the meeting of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons in Chicago, Illinois. My topic was Botox®, the soft tissue fillers including Restylane® and Radiesse®, and the many exfoliative chemical peels using Glycolic, Lactic, and Salicylic acid. I came away from that meeting very excited and enthused about all the wonderful new non-surgical facial rejuvenation therapies that are safe and effective for patients today.

There are so many new non-surgical facial rejuvntion options available that the patient must understand exactly what facial aging change it is that they want to correct. Usually the patient just feels that their face looks older but cannot pinpoint exactly which facial aging change is causing concern. It is important to seek consultation with an experienced board certified plastic surgeon who understands all the options so that the correct option is chosen for your very unique face. I advise you to avoid doctors who only do one or two facial rejuvenation procedures and tend to push patients to have the procedure that he/she performs rather than customizing the procedure to the patient’s needs.

The various non surgical facial rejuvination opions available today include:

· Topical cremes, microdermabrasion®, and superficial skin peels with glycolic, lactic, and salicylic acid to produce exfoliation to freshen the skin and give it a youthful glow. These treatments also stimulate the skin to form new collagen to replace the old damaged aged collagen, and help rejuvenate the facial skin.

· Topical cremes, microdermabrasion®, lasers, IPL or Photofacial, and Fraxel® can be used to remove brown spots, pignent, blood vessels called telangiectasias, and rosacea from the facial skin. Pigment and blood vessels are a classic sign of facial aging and the non-surgical removal of these skin discolorations provides noticeable facial rejuvenation.

· Botox® can be used to relax the muscles of facial expression and remove crow’s feet, worry lines, frown lines, and bunny lines all of which are very early signs of facial aging. Botox® effectively removes these lines in most people for 6 to 9 months after a simple nearly painless injection.

· Deep facial lines called the nasolabial fold lines and marionette lines make the face look tired and old and coupled with the frown lines often make people look angry. New soft tissue fillers can soften the nasal-labial fold lines and marionette lines when they are injected into the skin beneath the aging lines. Commonly used soft tissue fillers are Zyplast®and Zyderm® – both made of collagen, Restylane®, Restylane Finelines®, Hylaform®, Perlane®, Radiesse®, Artecoll®, Artefill®, CosmoDerm®, CosmoPlast®, Sculptra®, Fascian®, Cymetra®, and Isolagen®. Each of these fillers has different characteristics and are better for some facial aging changes than others.
